Influence of envelope insulation materials on building energy consumption

摘要: In this paper, the influence of different external wall insulation materials on the energy consumption of a newly built apartment in Germany is investigated. Three types of insulation materials commonly used in Germany including mineral fiber, polyurethane, and vacuum insulation panel are chosen for the case studies. An energy analysis model is established to clarify the primary energy use for production of the insulation materials and for building space heating. The calculation results show that the energy consumption for insulation material production increases with the insulation thickness, whereas the energy use for space heating decreases with the insulation thickness. Thus, there exists an optimum thickness to get the lowest total energy consumption for each kind of insulation material. The ascending order of the total energy consumption of the three materials is mineral fiber, polyurethane, and vacuum insulation panel. However, the optimum insulation thicknesses for the three insulation materials show a verse order at a certain heat transfer coefficient of the base envelope. The energy payback time (EPT) is proposed to calculate the payback time of the primary energy use for insulation material production. Mineral fiber has the shortest time, followed by polyurethane and vacuum insulation panel. The EPTS is 10, 19 and 21 years, respectively when the heat transfer coefficient of the base envelope is 0.2 W/(m ·K). In addition, the simulated results show that the theoretical value and the simulated value are basically identical.

Extended stochastic resonance (SR) and its applications in weak mechanical signal processing

摘要: To catch symptoms of machine failure as early as possible, one of the most important strategies is to apply more progressive techniques during signal processing. This paper presents a method based on stochastic resonance (SR) to detect weak fault signal. First, a discrete model of a bistable system that can demonstrate SR is researched, and the stability condition for controlling the selection of model parameters of the discrete model and guarantee the solving convergence are established. Then, the frequency range of the weak signals that the SR model can detect is extended through a type of normalized scale transformation. Finally, the method is applied to extract the weak characteristic component from heavy noise to indicate the little crack fault in a bearing outer circle.

摘要: 闵可夫斯基空间中的特殊曲线如闵可夫斯基毕达哥拉斯矢端线,在计算机辅助几何设计中有着重要作用,其应用近年来得到深入研究。Bizzarri等人在2016年介绍了一类有理包络(RE)曲线;提出用于G1 Hermite数据的插值方法,其合成的RE曲线能对所表示的区域生成有理边界。本文提出RE曲线的一类新的应用领域——离散输入圆集的蒙皮。若未选择正确的Hermite数据进行插值,得到的RE曲线将不适合蒙皮。本文介绍一种新颖的方法,按此方法得到的包络曲线能够接触每个圆预定的接触点。因此,我们克服了因接触点位置导致不适合蒙皮的问题。本文所提方法的一个显著优点在于其边界偏移量修剪的效率,这在计算机数控方面非常有用。

在分析基准使用条件下飞机结构寿命包线的基础上,给出飞机结构在非基准使用条件下的寿命包线的绘制方法,阐明了在非基准使用条件下对飞机结构进行单机寿命监控的原理与方法。最后以飞机首翻后进行第二次大修的大修间隔期监控为例进行了分析说明。

A rate-dependent Prandtl-Ishlinskii model for piezoelectric actuators using the dynamic envelope function

In this paper, a novel rate-dependent Prandtl-Ishlinskii (P-I) model is proposed to characterize the rate-dependent hysteresis nonlinearity of piezoelectric actuators. The new model is based on a modified rate-dependent play operator, in which a dynamic envelope function is introduced to replace the input function of the classical play operator. Moreover, a dynamic density function is utilized in the proposed P-I model. The parameters of the proposed model are identified by a modified particle swarm optimization algorithm. Finally, experiments are conducted on a piezo-actuated nanopositioning stage to validate the proposed P-I model under the sinusoidal inputs. The experimental results show that the developed rate-dependent P-I model precisely characterize the rate-dependent hysteresis loops up to 1000 Hz.

An ANN-exhaustive-listing method for optimization of multiple building shapes and envelope properties

摘要: With increasing awareness of sustainability, demands on optimized design of building shapes with a view to maximize its thermal performance have become stronger. Current research focuses more on building envelopes than shapes, and thermal comfort of building occupants has not been considered in maximizing thermal performance in building shape optimization. This paper attempts to develop an innovative ANN (artificial neural network)-exhaustive-listing method to optimize the building shapes and envelope physical properties in achieving maximum thermal performance as measured by both thermal load and comfort hour. After verified, the developed method is applied to four different building shapes in five different climate zones in China. It is found that the building shape needs to be treated separately to achieve sufficient accuracy of prediction of thermal performance and that the ANN is an accurate technique to develop models of discomfort hour with errors of less than 1.5%. It is also found that the optimal solutions favor the smallest window-to-external surface area with triple-layer low-E windows and insulation thickness of greater than 90 mm. The merit of the developed method is that it can rapidly reach the optimal solutions for most types of building shapes with more than two objective functions and large number of design variables.

Development of surface reconstruction algorithms for optical interferometric measurement

摘要: Optical interferometry is a powerful tool for measuring and characterizing areal surface topography in precision manufacturing. A variety of instruments based on optical interferometry have been developed to meet the measurement needs in various applications, but the existing techniques are simply not enough to meet the ever-increasing requirements in terms of accuracy, speed, robustness, and dynamic range, especially in on-line or on-machine conditions. This paper provides an in-depth perspective of surface topography reconstruction for optical interferometric measurements. Principles, configurations, and applications of typical optical interferometers with different capabilities and limitations are presented. Theoretical background and recent advances of fringe analysis algorithms, including coherence peak sensing and phase-shifting algorithm, are summarized. The new developments in measurement accuracy and repeatability, noise resistance, self-calibration ability, and computational efficiency are discussed. This paper also presents the new challenges that optical interferometry techniques are facing in surface topography measurement. To address these challenges, advanced techniques in image stitching, on-machine measurement, intelligent sampling, parallel computing, and deep learning are explored to improve the functional performance of optical interferometry in future manufacturing metrology.

摘要: 失控(LOC)被认为是导致世界范围内致命飞机事故的主要原因之一。减少飞机失控对于提高飞行安全意义重大。虽然目前航空界对失控的定义还比较模糊,但研究表明失控通常与飞行状态超出安全包线、飞机动力学的非线性影响以及飞行机组人员不当操纵有关。本文主要针对飞机动力学的非线性影响和驾驶员不当操纵导致的失控展开研究,利用分岔分析方法确定飞行状态的失速点和分岔点。研究结果表明,驾驶员操纵过度将直接导致飞机失速。此外,飞行状态接近飞行包线边界时,驾驶员的操纵会变得特别敏感,稍微改变操纵指令就可能导致飞行状态超出安全包线。即使在某个操纵指令下存在稳定平衡状态,飞行状态仍可能处于安全包线之外。为提升飞行安全,引入微分流形理论确定安全包线。以NASA的通用模型作为案例展开研究。

Multiple regression models for energy consumption of office buildings in different climates in China

摘要: The energy consumption of office buildings in China has been growing significantly in recent years. Obviously, there are significant relationships between building envelope and the energy consumption of office buildings. The 8 key building envelope influencing factors were found in this paper to evaluate their effects on the energy consumption of the air-conditioning system. The typical combinations of the key influencing factors were performed in Trnsy simulation. Then on the basis of the simulated results, the multiple regression models were developed respectively for the four climates of China—hot summer and warm winter, hot summer and cold winter, cold, and severely cold. According to the analysis of regression coefficients, the appropriate building envelope design schemes were discussed in different climates. At last, the regression model evaluations consisting of the simulation evaluations and the actual case evaluations were performed to verify the feasibility and accuracy of the regression models. The error rates are within±5% in the simulation evaluations and within±15% in the actual case evaluations. It is believed that the regression models developed in this paper can be used to estimate the energy consumption of office buildings in different climates when various building envelope designs are considered.

一种基于子带激励替换的窄带语音水印算法 Article

摘要: 本文建议了一种新的窄带语音水印算法,该算法将部分语音信号替换为一个经过幅度调节和频谱成形的隐蔽信号。文中从理论上证明了若仅对一小部分载体语音作修改,则不但可以建立一个用于隐蔽通信的理想信道模型,而且还能确保隐藏信号的不可感知性和带水印信号的可懂度。在此基础上,文中建议了一个实际的系统模型。在嵌入器中,使用了能量规范化准则,使得通带水印信号的能量与原始通带语音激励信号的能量相等,然后使用合成滤波器来对该水印信号进行频谱成形。在提取器中,先用带通滤波器去除带外信号,然后用分析滤波器对失真进行补偿。实验结果显示,本文建议算法的数据速率可达400 bits/s,具有更佳的带宽效率,且有良好的不可感知性。此外,该算法对实际应用中的各种攻击也是顽健的。

肺动脉压无创伤估测系统及其应用价值研究

肺动脉压是临床诊断、生理研究的一项重要指标,常规采用有创伤的心导管术测量。文章提出了一种基于超声和心电的无创伤估测方法,研制了肺动脉压无创伤估测系统。文中报告了所用的关键技术要点,动物实验和临床试用。所用的关键技术是小波变换降噪;新型百分比法提取声谱包络;小波变换识别定位超声;心电信号特征点。经9条狗的动物实验和60例临床试用,与心导管术相关性在80%以上。

Decomposition analysis applied to energy and emissions: A literature review

摘要: Decomposition analysis has been widely used to assess the determinants of energy and CO2 emissions in academic research and policy studies. Both the methodology and application of decomposition analysis have been largely improved in the past decades. After more than 50 years’ developments, decomposition studies have become increasingly sophisticated and diversified, and tend to converge internally and integrate with other analytical approaches externally. A good understanding of the literature and state of the art is critical to identify knowledge gaps and formulate future research agenda. To this end, this study presents a literature survey for decomposition analysis applied to energy and emission issues, with a focus on the period of 2016–2021. A review for three individual decomposition techniques is first conducted, followed by a synthesis of emerging trends and features for the decomposition analysis literature as a whole. The findings are expected to direct future research in decomposition analysis.

Flow, thermal, and vibration analysis using three dimensional finite element analysis for a flux reversal

摘要: This paper presents the simulation of major mechanical properties of a flux reversal generator (FRG) viz., computational fluid dynamic (CFD), thermal, and vibration. A three-dimensional finite element analysis (FEA) based CFD technique for finding the spread of pressure and air velocity in air regions of the FRG is described. The results of CFD are mainly obtained to fine tune the thermal analysis. Thus, in this focus, a flow analysis assisted thermal analysis is presented to predict the steady state temperature distribution inside FRG. The heat transfer coefficient of all the heat producing inner walls of the machine are evaluated from CFD analysis, which forms the main factor for the prediction of accurate heat distribution. The vibration analysis is illustrated. Major vibration sources such as mechanical, magnetic and applied loads are covered elaborately which consists of a 3D modal analysis to find the natural frequency of FRG, a 3D static stress analysis to predict the deformation of the stator, rotor and shaft for different speeds, and an unbalanced rotor harmonic analysis to find eccentricity of rotor to make sure that the vibration of the rotor is within the acceptable limits. Harmonic analysis such as sine sweep analysis to identify the range of speeds causing high vibrations and steady state vibration at a mode frequency of 1500 Hz is presented. The vibration analysis investigates the vibration of the FRG as a whole, which forms the contribution of this paper in the FRG literature.

Review of sentiment analysis: An emotional product development view

摘要: Conveying consumers’ specific emotions in new products, referred to as emotional product development or emotional design, is strategically crucial for manufacturers. Given that sentiment analysis (SA) can extract and analyze people’s opinions, sentiments, attitudes, and perceptions regarding different products/services, SA-based emotional design may provide manufacturers with real-time, direct, and rapid decision support. Despite its considerable advancements and numerous survey and review articles, SA is seldom considered in emotional design. This study is among the first efforts to conduct a thorough review of SA from the view of emotional design. The comprehensive review of aspect-level SA reveals the following: 1) All studies focus on extracting product features by mixing technical product features and consumers’ emotional perceptions. Consequently, such studies cannot capture the relationships between technical and emotional attributes and thus cannot convey specific emotions to the new products. 2) Most studies use the English language in SA, but other languages have recently received more interest in SA. Furthermore, after conceptualizing emotion as Kansei and introducing emotional product development and Kansei Engineering, a review of the data-driven emotional design is then conducted. A few efforts start to study emotional design with the help of SA. However, these studies only focus on either analyzing consumers’ preferences on product features or extracting emotional opinions from online reviews, thus cannot realize data-driven emotional product development. Finally, some research opportunities are provided. This study opens a broad door to aspect-level SA and its integration with emotional product development.

Jack up reliability analysis: An overview

摘要: Jack up is a mobile unit used for oil and gas exploration and production in offshore fields. On demand, the unit is moved and installed in a given location and used for a period up to 12 months before being un-installed and moved to another location. Due to its mobility and re-usability, when the unit is offered for use in a given offshore location, its suitability in terms of safe operation is evaluated in accordance with the guidelines of Site Specific Assessment (SSA) of jack up. When the unit failed safety assessment criteria, the guideline recommended that it is re-assessed by increasing the complexity of the assumptions and methods used. Reliability analysis theories are one of the frameworks recommended for the safety assessment of the units. With recent developments in uncertainty and reliability analysis of structures subject to stochastic excitation, this study aims at providing a review on the past developments in jack up reliability analysis and to identify possible future directions. The results from literature reviewed shows that failure probabilities vary significantly with analysis method used. In addition, from the variants of reliability analysis approach, the method of time dependent reliability for dynamic structures subject to stochastic excitation have not been implemented on jack ups. Consequently, suggestions were made on the areas that need further examination for improvement of the efficiency in safety assessment of the units using reliability theories.
